This free resource can help you with multiple things:
- See the regions of the brain and their functions. This is always changing as we learn more about the brain, but the Know Your Brain guide provides a visual overview of each region of the brain and what its job is.
- Find the connections between YOUR specific injury and things that are challenging for you. Do you know that you had a stroke that affected Broca’s area? You’ll be able to see just how that translates to the difficulties you may have with finding the words you want.
- Figure out what therapy activities are most useful for you given your individual condition. There’s a great table on the back side of the infographic that shows you what Constant Therapy tasks are most useful for you given your specific injury, condition, and/or strengths and weaknesses.
- Start the conversation. Whether you’re a clinician explaining an injury to a patient and their loved ones, or whether you’re a patient explaining why it’s hard for you to read to a friend, this graphic gives you a tool to talk about your injury, to explain it to others, and to ask follow-up questions with medical professionals!
